The Meteorological Office is responsible for issuing forecasts and warnings on hazardous weather which may affect the safety of aircraft operations at the aerodrome. The office also doubles up as a Meteorological Watch Office (MWO) having the responsibility for providing weather forecasts and warnings within the Seychelles Flight Information Region (FIR).
